EIFER seeks a Research Fellow (m/f/d) for Environmental Management.

This 2-year position located in Karlsruhe starts as soon as possible. Salary per TV-L (100%).

Founded by EDF and KIT in 2002, EIFER provides innovative energy solutions for a sustainable future.

Responsibilities

  • R&D Projects and Proposals: Contribute to projects on environmental economics, accounting, and management.
  • Environmental Impact Analysis: Review and assess physical environmental impacts, conduct cost-benefit analyses and monetary valuations, review and test new methodologies and frameworks, and benchmark emerging tools and approaches. Bibliographic reviews and concrete case studies are foreseen.
  • Regulations and Practices: Analyze and benchmark environmental regulations and practices in France, Germany, and Europe.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or PhD in environmental engineering or economics.
  • Knowledge of physical and monetary assessment of environmental impacts.
  • Interest in advancing environmental and ecological economics and accounting activities, including developing new proposals for industrial and public-funded projects.
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory; French and German are assets.
