EIFER seeks a master student for an internship position (m/f/d) in the field of
Electricity Grids and Regulation.

This position is particularly suited for students seeking to write their masters thesis.

Start: 01.02.2026
Duration: max. 6 months (compulsory internship)
Weekly working hours: 39.5
Remuneration: 560€ monthly

Responsibilities

  • Analysis of the technical and regulatory aspects of electricity grids in Germany and France, with a focus on technical grid connection conditions.
  • Cooperation and consultation with experts and various stakeholders in the field of electricity grids.
  • Conducting comparative studies between Germany and France on this topic.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a masters student
    Preferred study subjects: Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Economics or similar.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Interest in energy research and sustainability.
  • Written and spoken German and French (minimum B2 level), knowledge of English is an advantage
  • Initial experience or university courses in the field of electricity grids, markets and/or regulation. Experience in the field of electromobility is an advantage.
  • Interest in working in an exciting trilingual project and work environment.
