EIFER seeks a student assistant to work on the topic "Assessment of Geothermal Potential in France".

This position is based in Karlsruhe and is available to start as soon as possible.

Monthly working hours are based on the candidate’s qualifications:

  • No degree: 43.5 hours per month
  • Bachelor’s degree: 41 hours per month
  • Master’s degree: 30 hours per month

Salary: €610 per month

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the harmonisation of cartographic data.
  • Support the preparation of maps assessing geothermal potential.
  • Help with data preparation, cleaning and analysis.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a University student.
    Preferred study subjects: data sciences, geography, geology
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Interest in energy research and sustainability.
  • Working knowledge of French.
  • Experience working with GIS and modelling software (i.e., ArcGIS, QGIS, Python, RStudio)
